Michael Orlando has made a huge mark in the field of motion picture visual effects at wor>ld premiere studios such as Industrial Light & Magic, Walt Disney Feature Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Paramount and Warner Brothers. Some of his screen credits include Spy Kids: All The Time In The World, Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, Pirates Of The Carribean: At World’s End, Evan Almighty, Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones, Men in Black II, The Time Machine, The Mummy Returns, and Walt Disney’s Dinosaur.
He has produced visual effects for The Watchmen, Nightmare on Elm Street 2010, Mummy III: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor , The Happening, 7 lbs, Nim’s Island, John Adams, Stephen King’s The Mist, Pathology and Hostel II.
His expertise and previous experience as an artist incorporates all facets of CGI in feature films, including stereoscopic 3D, location technical consulting, motion control photography, model miniature design/construction, action and mechanical props, clay sculpture and creative design. He has also been involved with advanced software development for visual effects, and helped to establish workflows and problem solving techniques during production at Industrial Light & Magic. This included the training and supervision of other artists.
Michael spends his leisure time creating fine art oil paintings, and conducts paranormal research. He loves cats, and likes to cook.
